bloomquist is off today and in the news, the teacher accused of having sex with three students in new jersey. new information about the case. and a woman forced to the ground at gun point at a robbery at a local pizza shop. but the big story is still developing, an inferno that injured three people is still smolder. it started in a vacant warehouse and spread to another building. two firefighters were hurt along with a third man that suffered severe burns as he tried to escape the building. sara bloomquist is live at the scene where investigators are searching for a cause. >> reporter: rick, two firefighters are treated and released from the hospital with minor injuries that third person that was injured was scene running from the vacant building and is he on fire. he remains in the hospital in

critical condition, you can see the activity going on here and the warehouse is right here. a paper store an facility, a working business and little of that remains. people in the area say that that vacant building was not properly secured and used for drug activity. and what happened this morning remains under investigation. >> big flames and smoke rose high into the air and a massive fire in kensington that left three people injured. the call came in at 2:30 this morning, firefighters arrived to heavy flames at a vacant commercial building at the 100 block of american street. they were trying to contain the spread when the walls collapsed. >> once the building collapsed it was easy to get to the exposure. >> the fire raged through the

paper storage facility. 33 pieces of apparatus and 100 plus firefighters on the scene when the fire hit four alarms. before the building collapsed they fought the flames from the exterior. >> when you have an older building and heavy fire loads, you have a greater chance of collapse. once you have the collapse anything can happen. one thing we did was establish a collapse zone early. >> later on demo crews were called in to take down the remaining walls many people stopped by to watch, it's the latest building to be destroyed by fire, onlookers say that these buildings are not properly secured. >> it was a matter of time. >> you saw what happened to the two firefighters that were killed because of that fire. there is nothing left of this building, just steel.

anybody could have got enhurt. >> they are still blasting water at hot spots and two elementary schools were dismissed early and a furniture company had some smoke damage and the bulk of the fire was in the vacant building and the paper company. lni is on the scene and the fire marshall as well. >> thank you. a camden county dunkin' donuts is damaged after a police vehicle slammed into the store this morning. it crashed into the building on the south side of white horse pike in burlington township. there was no reports of serious injuries, the cause remains under investigation. >> the search for eric frein continues in the poconos, after he allegedly ambushed two troopers outside of their barracks. they are checking places he may be hiding, they believe he opened fire on friday wounding

new details are emerging this noon about the man that killed six of his grandchildren and his daughter before taking his own life. he called from his home to authorities and said he might harm himself. they arrived a short time later and found him dead along with the others. he was in prison years ago for shooting his young son. a man is accused of starting a wild fire that is still burning outs of control in california. wayne huntsman is accused of starting the fire that has

burned 1,000 acres. it's just 10% contained and forced 3,000 people from their homes. a lockdown is phoenix international airport caused hundreds of people to miss their flight. the gunman fled to the airport and hid inside before firing and injuring one person. some people were ordered to stay in the terminal and others evacuated until the man was captured in the parking garage some hours later. >> some of us missed our flight to chicago and we are being rerouted for tomorrow. i'm trying to get home for my mother's birthday. >> passengers from two dozen flight his to be rebooked because of the ordeal. embattled nfl commission under, roger goodell is expected

when a vacant building caught fire and three people were hurt. three police officers jump into action when a vehicle cashed fire on a roadway in ohio. and the iphone frenzy is in affect today. people line up to get their hans on latest smart phone from apple. now the details on a story developing this noon. what is left of a vacant building in the kensington section of the city, still smoldering after a fire overnitd. and two schools in the area sent students home early. vernon odom is live at the scene now with the latest. >> reporter: rick, those closings were obviously because of potential health concerns in this section of kensington. mckinley and welsh, both k through 8, smoke has spread

through the area now and you can see behind me the fire department continues to saturate the rubble. >> another abandoned building in kensington goes up in flame, neighbors say it was used as a crack house. it broke out at 2:30 this and morning, the four alarm fire eventually spread to the paper business tomorrow. a man was seen running from the building on fire. he is in the hospital in critical condition with burns over 80% of his body. two men are treated and released. >> when the building collapsed it was easy to get to the exposure. with the paper building, that creates another problem, and we sustained it and put it out. >> hot spots remain, hector valentino owns a shipping

karen travers is here with all the latest. >> good afternoon, president obama said last night after the senate vote, that the u.s. is strongest when the president and congress works together, that is certainly not something we have seen a lot of lately. and france has stepped up their efforts against isis and president obama hopes other nations will do the same. president obama has what he want the approval to to train and quip syrian rebels. they continue to build an international coalition to take on isis in syria and iraq. today france conducted their first air strikes and a military spokesperson there says that dozens of fighters were killed and france's president says the target was entirely destroyed.
